FROM THE CITY OF TREES: Our Roots

It all started in the summer of 2015.  Just two nutty women, we (co-founders Kate Carter & Bess Weyandt) were both at crossroads in our careers and had a shared passion for real, local food.

The additive-laden almond milk at the local grocery store just wasn’t cutting it, so we took our Vitamixes and started blending our own. We were kinda nuts, actually; we got up early, hand pressed a whole lot of milk & ran around Atlanta, delivering to our friends and neighbors. We still do a lot of it ourselves, but with an amazing team and community alongside us.

KEEPING IT REAL: Our Products

We believe that ingredients matter.  And the fewer, the better.  We went on a wild goose chase to find the best ingredients around.  Georgia pecans from Pearson Farms & single origin cacao from Xocolatl to name a few; we source local, organic & non-GMO whenever possible.  

And just because this milk is simple doesn’t mean it’s not rich. With 100 nuts packed into each small jar, there's no room for things like fillers, syrups or mixes.

CLOSING THE LOOP: Our Purpose

We believe in our community and the notion that food brings us together. We also believe in environmental responsibility, and that every little bit helps. That's why we take back, sanitize, and re-use jars all the time -- which means you might even come across a “loved” jar with some missing ink and extra character.

We partner with CompostNow to compost the remnants left from the milk-making process & with other startups to turn our food "waste" into more food.  Zero-waste: we're coming for you.
